Gym day, Nov 25

Made it to the gym early this morning! It opened at 7 and I was there around 7:30 or so. I did 45 min on the elliptical at level 10, then decided to try the arc trainer. Last time I tried the arc trainer, it felt like it shredded my bad knee. This time I did 5 minutes, and I think I was at level 12. I'm not very clear on the settings on this machine. It was much more difficult, however, until I played with some buttons (the 12 was a 30, not sure if it was time or intensity). I finished my 5 minutes, however, and if it doesn't bother my knee, I'll go for a bit longer next time. I will definitely close all 3 activity rings on my Apple watch today, too - two of them are finished already, and I have over 8000 steps!

Yesterday's gym visit

I did get to the gym yesterday, and did 32 min on the elliptical at level 10. Tough go! At about 25 min in, the wifi signal became unreliable - not enough to run my Hulu video, anyway. I didn't make it much beyond that.
Today I find myself moody, hungry, and having all kinds of food cravings. My daughter made some cookies yesterday from a mix, and I had 3. I also had a large salad from a salad bar, but I think the only unexpected thing on that was some cottage cheese. Today I feel not only bloated, but unmotivated and kind of depressed. Not sure why.

The streak continues!

Gym Day #5! The streak continues!
This one was actually in the evening. I had a very busy day, but a lot of it was driving and sitting. (Shopping, and attended a children's birthday party with the grandson.) About 5:30PM I started feeling antsy, and ended up going to a local franchise - ours closes at 7PM on weekends. I had a short (25 min) but fairly intense elliptical session (pushed the speed) and felt much better for it.
I was still up 2 lbs this morning, due to free food at hubby's work on Friday, and take-out food (and birthday party food) yesterday. Need to get that back on track today. Pushing to get below 260 by Thanksgiving, and below 250 for Christmas. There, I said it.

Gym Day #4

Gym day #4!  This one was a little different.  I went to a gym franchise near hubby's work - well, I suppose near is relative.  In this case it was about 13 miles from his work, but it was the closest franchise location.  I did the exercise bike for 45 minutes.  It was a similar style of bike, but the screens were all different than I'm used to.  It was a different brand of bike, too.  Turned out to be a pretty tough workout, but I managed to get through another entire episode of Stargate SG-1 on my iPad.

Day 3 at the gym!

Day 3 at the gym, 48 min on the elliptical at Level 9, while watching Stargate SG-1 via Hulu on my iPad. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new streak!
I am also doing well with the iTrackBites app. I am down a few pounds - actually, 0.2 pounds away from my lowest weight so far, so that's great! Tracking everything! Looking forward to hitting a new low this week, hopefully!

I made it to the gym two days in a row! This was at a different location - not my "home gym". 45 min on the exercise bike (upright version - I can't use the stationary recumbent bikes because they irritate an old tailbone injury). This place had much nicer showers and changing rooms than my regular gym!

I am getting up to speed with the iTrackBites iPhone app.  The scale this morning rewarded me with a loss.  I am now within one pound of my most recent low.  I still have two weeks of meetings; I'm hoping I can hit my 10% and 25 lb loss before my membership is up on Dec. 1.

I also managed to close all 3 activity rings on my Apple watch, two days in a row now!

Things have been a little busy around here for the last week and a half or so.  Most of this centers around hubby starting a new job.  I had to finish weaving a project on a floor loom that was in my bedroom, and move the loom to the basement (which also required clearing out a space for it in the basement...) so he can have a workspace in the bedroom.  That took several days.

I decided to cancel my Weight Watchers membership (mostly due to cost), and continue with an app that also tracks points.  I then proceeded to eat out of control for about 3 days; up 3 pounds to pay for that.  I'm back on track today, and also hit the gym.  40 min on the elliptical, and feeling good about it.
