Weigh-in today - down another 1.2, for a total of 21.2 so far.  This afternoon I did my second run of the Couch to 5K program, after feeling exhausted-tired most of the week. This also put me over 10,000 steps on my Fitbit, and filled out all 3 activity rings on my Apple watch!

This morning I decided to try running again. Ihaven't run in about 2-1/2 yrs due to a knee injury. Although I have done lots of long-distance bike rides this year (including a half-century and a metric century) and can do the elliptical for an hour, I *do* feel my glutes after just a little hilly running! Nothing around us is flat... But I did it, and my knee doesn't hurt - so far. And my exercise is out of the way early! If my knee holds up, I'll shoot for a New Year's Day 5K.

No gym days lately definitely doesn't mean no exercise. I've been working on getting my barn clean and set up for winter. Yesterday I replaced the wire floor on the bottom of a rabbit cage, and made two trips to the dump. (We live in a very small town, with no trash pickup.) Today I need to continue with the barn fall cleaning. I have one more rabbit cage to clean, and then I'll start on the chicken coop and the two stalls that need to be cleaned out. Lots of upper-body work and heavy lifting in the near future!

Yesterday was also my Weight Watchers weigh-in. I was down another 1.0, for a total of 20.0! Turtle-like progress, but progress nevertheless. I was under my daily points one day, and over by a few another day, so I'll take my 1.0. Yesterday I kind of went a little overboard with the food, and used some of my weekly points as well. It was all really good (seafood salad, and ravioli with garlic bread for dinner) but I did feel a bit guilty for eating with such abandon. I did, however, track everything.

Oct 17

Today's exercise was a walk around the block with two of my dogs. I even ran 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile of this, for the first time in about 2-1/2 years. We'll see how the knee holds up. It was just mildly pinchy a few times. If I don't get any swelling or increased pain, I'll consider starting up a running program again.

As an added bonus, I figured out how to take a screenshot from my Apple Watch screen!

Another gym day in the bank!

Upper body weights, half an hour on the elliptical at Level 10 Random. Hubby went with me; we do the weights together, and then I do some cardio and he goes for a walk outside (at least until it gets too cold!). On other days I can do more cardio (like maybe tomorrow).

A different gym

I had an errand to run in another town today, so I visited a different gym in the franchise.  It was good and bad (not bad, really, just different).

Good:  Spacious changing rooms, I really liked the locker room, and the shower stalls had little hanger shelves in them for soap and shampoo!  Loved those!

Different:  The stationary bike was a little different from the ones at my home gym (at least the control screen was; the rest was the same).

Bad:  No overhead fans!  It was very hot while I was on the bike; probably doesn't help that all the cardio equipment is at the back of the space, farthest from the door.

Regardless, I would happily go to this one again.  I plan to try other locations as well; I have a membership that allows me to use any location, and I intend to visit other gyms.

Today I ended up doing half an hour on the exercise bike, at Level 10.  I watched Ironman Australia from 2013 on my iPad while pedaling.  It makes the time go by a little faster.

Gym day, Nov 25

Made it to the gym early this morning! It opened at 7 and I was there around 7:30 or so. I did 45 min on the elliptical at level 10, then de...
